Working toward getting a fighting chance in Congress after 2010

This is a work in progress...a work hoping for progress.

The focus is on eliminating Republicans in Name Only from Congress and

encouraging moderate Democrats to make the right decisions.

Our conservative values must prevail!

I am just one citizen wanting to preserve America as we know it,

and as it was designed to be by our founding fathers.

There are thousands of websites out there like this because

there are thousands of us who hope to make a difference.  You betcha!

I hope you will strive to make a difference, also.

"Tea Party falls short on promise" editorializes the Fort Myers News Press.

"Sadly, the Tea Party demonstration in Fort Myers -- while an impressive display of Americans exercising their First Amendment right to assemble peaceably -- fell short.

"Instead, the protest gave 4,000 people the venue to commune, vent and criticize those in power, namely the Obama adminstration and the Democratic-controlled Congress."  Read the entire editorial.

It's Tax Day Tea Party Time!

But Obama claims not to know about the hundreds of protests being held all over the country!  Could it be he's lying?  Barry tell a lie?  Liar, liar pants on fire?

On the Eve of the Tax Day Tea Parties...
"Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment."

Yes, you read it right.  The Office of Homeland Security issued this titled assessment on April 7 and it was distributed to "federal, state, local, and tribal counterterrorism and law enforcement officials ..."

The report elaborates that ..."right wing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms and use."

So, if you disagree with Obama on amnesty for illegals or stand up for the Second Amendment, you are branded a "rightwing extremist" by the Department of Homeland Security and become the subject of scrutiny by some 850,000 local and state law enforcement personnel.

Most disgusting of all, it targets veterans for increased law enforcement scrutiny.

"Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to rightwing extremists. DHS/I&A is concerned that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to boost their violent capabilities."

This report smacks of profiling and harassing American citizens based on their political views, and specifically based on their opposition to the Obama administration's proposals.

This used to be called "democracy" and "free speech" protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution. But under Obama, "Homeland Security" has become an instrument of oppression of opposing points of view.

Read Michelle Malkin's take on this.

The left is gleefully painting Tea Party goers as racists saying there don't seem to be a lot of minorities attending.  Ummm...don't see a lot of us whities at an ACORN extravaganza.

Are you ready to Tea Party?

I'll be attending the Tax Day Tea Party in Fort
Myers at Centennial Park, on the Caloosahatchee
River.  There will even be a town crier riding through
the historic downtown to the riverfront, where tea
will be dumped into the river.

The organizers of all the tea parties, on both a
national and local level have been quick to point out
this is not an anti-Obama rally but a protest against
out of control spending and the ramming of massive
tax and spend bills down our throats.   Click here to
read the 10 Tax Day Tea Party Facts.

(While you are driving to your tea party, ponder this:  The budget Obama proposes for this year increases federal spending by a fiscally insane 34% over the budget adopted for last year, with a total of $4 trillion in federal spending, the highest EVER.)

That doesn't mean you can't respectfully make known your feelings on how all this money is going to be spent -- or not.   Lucky Californians will have three miles of rough pavement on Interstate 710 in LA repaved and it will only cost us, our kids and grandkids $25 million per mile!  Too bad the defense budget hasn't been announced although Obama is not expected to fund the military as requested by the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
